Lenar Whitney currently serves as a State Representative in the Louisiana House. She is also the RNC National Committee Woman from Louisiana.

Generally regarded as one of the most conservative members of the Louisiana Legislature, Lenar has always stood for less government, less taxes and for the family values that make America strong. She has been a strong advocate for pro-life legislation, as well as educational reform.

A lifelong resident of Houma, Lenar currently lives there with her husband Lee Whitney. Lee and Lenar are both small business owners. Lee owns and operates a sign shop. Lenar has owned a dance studio for several years and is also part owner of a phone company. She has two grown children, Celeste and Ryan. Recently, Celeste and her husband Michael made Lenar and Lee into grandparents with the birth of John Michael.
